About Me:

I’m Alejandra, and I go by she/her. My work is about helping people to compassionately accept their reality, just as it is crises, losses, oppressions and all. The wonderful contradiction here is that this acceptance can then help to change that very same reality into something you experience as more and more safe, sustainable and fulfilling. Together we can learn to surf the waves, slow the pulse and find themissing links that can help you to both love your reality and shape it.

In terms of my lived experience, I’m a cis queer white Latinx adoptee, and I live with a mental health disability. I’m committed to anti-racism, trans allyship, neurodiversity and anti-poverty.

Some of my youth clients have told me that I’ve got their back, that I hear them and that I’m a bit of a weirdo (compliment, I swear). Clients of all ages have told me they appreciate my ability to “be there” with them in the dark places. I think this might be something about how I hold the contradiction of lament versus radical acceptance: It’s been so important for me to embrace these “both at once” in my work, communities and in my personal history.
