Connections is a Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada program that is created jointly by Pape Adolescent Resource Centre (PARC), and Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CAST) Health Services Department. Connections assists young people who transitioning from child welfare in effectively linking to physical, social, and mental health and addictions services.Connections has a team of a nurse navigator, admin assistant, and a family physician. Connections also has limited funding for short-term psychotherapy, and psychoeducational assessments.
To address the issue of limited mental health services in the Greater Toronto Area, Connections started a registry for mental health professionals who are qualified and interested in working with this population of young adults.
